We Believe Travel Should Make You #FeelSomething.
The Business We’re Really In
On paper, we’re in the travel business.
But travel is only the medium.
We design moments people remember long after they return home.
Walking the fields above the Sacred Valley with Manuel Choqque, then sharing a meal made from native potatoes his family has cultivated for generations.
Hearing the dawn chorus echo through a Colombian cloud forest in the world’s most bird-rich country.
Spending time with the pickers who harvest every coffee cherry by hand at Alfanía, before sharing lunch with the family behind the hacienda.
That is the business we are really in: creating experiences that make people #feelsomething.
It Starts With Treating People Right
When we first launched WhereNext Travel, we believed hiring local was enough.
But after building teams in Colombia and Peru, we learned something more important: much of the tourism industry still relies on informal work, where talented people often lack contracts, benefits, or long-term security.
That changed the way we think about our responsibility.
For us, community-first travel means working with the guides, chefs, hoteliers, drivers, artisans, conservationists, and entrepreneurs who are creating real economic opportunity in the places we operate.
Because meaningful travel isn't just measured by what guests experience.
It's also measured by who benefits when they leave.
Without that, sustainable tourism is just a sales pitch.
Less Brochure More Human
We began as storytellers, documenting the people and projects shaping tourism across Latin America.
We were not interested in repeating the polished stories destinations had already told about themselves.
So we created our own through film, photography, editorial platforms, and travel.
Those stories continue to shape every journey we design.
Destinations don't change us. People Do.
ORIGIN is our ongoing investment in telling the stories of the guides, conservationists, chefs, artists, entrepreneurs, and local partners who make the travel we design possible. Through film and portrait storytelling, we spotlight the people shaping the future of tourism across Latin America.
