Nicholas Gill Joins WhereNext Group as Strategic Advisor to Curate Gastronomy Experiences Across Latin America

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEATTLE, WA — November 20, 2025WhereNext Group, a Latin American luxury destination management company (DMC) based in Seattle, WA, with regional headquarters incorporated in Colombia and Peru, proudly announces that food and travel journalist Nicholas Gill has joined the company as a Strategic Advisor.

Gill, a James Beard Award–nominated author and co-author of high-profile culinary books, including Central and The Latin American Cookbook with Virgilio Martínez, and the forthcoming Eating the Amazon, brings decades of travel and gastronomy journalism experience, along with deep regional expertise, to WhereNext Travel’s product and creative team. He is also a contributor to The New York Times and the founder of the award winning newsletter and podcast New Worlder.

A New Standard for Culinary Travel Experiences

Under this strategic partnership, Gill will collaborate with WhereNext Travel to develop the “Nicholas Gill X WhereNext” Collection, a signature series of restaurants and culinary experiences across Peru and Colombia, thoughtfully woven into WhereNext's tailor-made itineraries designed for B2B clients.

“This is about showcasing real travel experiences that don’t live on Top 10 lists,” said Nicholas Gill. “It’s for clients who want to offer their guests the opportunity to explore the boundaries and possibilities of cuisine in the Americas.”

Gill will also collaborate with the WhereNext Travel team to design and partially lead co-branded, small-group culinary journeys under the Nicholas Gill x WhereNext Travel banner. Offered exclusively to select clients in the luxury travel space, these immersive trips — up to two per year — will give guests a rare opportunity to explore Latin American gastronomy through the lens of one of the region’s most knowledgeable and respected culinary storytellers.

“Nicholas’ approach goes far beyond awards and best-of lists,” said Gregg Bleakney, Owner of WhereNext Group. “I have a deep admiration for him, a kid from the Midwest who dreamed of becoming a writer and exploring the world beyond chain restaurants and strip malls. It’s incredible to see how he’s followed his curiosity and built deep knowledge of gastronomy and cultural understanding. What excites me most is the opportunity to share his world and inspire travelers through this relationship with WhereNext.”

Why This Matters for WhereNext Clients

For travel advisors, tour operators, and MICE partners, Gill’s appointment strengthens WhereNext’s ability to deliver unique experiences in one of the world’s most dynamic gastronomic regions. His deep network, journalistic credibility, and regional fluency provide a competitive edge to our B2B clients seeking to offer experiences that guests couldn’t find on their own.

Gill’s advisory role also includes the potential to scale this collaboration into exclusive trip licensing and deeper itinerary curation for WhereNext Travel clients.
